Local Nomad is a mobile artist collective that delivers exciting and stimulating creative learning workshops. We are committed to building an environment where children can express ideas and experiment with freedom and confidence.
Local Nomad artists, Amy Pitt and Lottie Hughes, create unique site-specific worlds using sculpture, installations and a variety of materials. These worlds allow the children to express and invent ideas, encouraging them to create from their wildest dreams. Local Nomad work in an open and free way to connect to each child’s individuality and foster their unique contribution.
Reflection and discussion throughout the workshops are an integral part of Local Nomads ethos. They provide powerful evidence of the children’s development and learning. This programme offers a unique opportunity for children, teachers and artists to collaborate and learn from each other, pushing boundaries in creative and imaginative thinking. The children lead in the decisions made, and who knows where the day will end?
